Mornington Peninsula Vignerons Association

mpva

The Mornington Peninsula Vignerons Association Inc (MPVA) is the official industry association representing Mornington Peninsula Wineries.

The Mornington Peninsula Wine Region is a special place where vines thrive in sheltered undulating valleys nurtured by a cool maritime climate creating elegant, personality-packed award-winning wines – predominantly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with Pinot Grigio and Shiraz a smaller presence.

Mornington Peninsula’s signature wine? It is supple & alluring, coaxing elegant and delicate varietal characters from the locally grown Pinot Noir. Appropriately, the region’s wines show great finesse but don’t be fooled by any apparent delicacy, as these wines are packed full of intensity, structure & texture.

Elgee Park Wines (#016)

Elgee Park covers 322 hectares of rolling hills at Merricks North on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. With views across Port Phillip Bay to Melbourne, the property is a family home, a working farm and a personal place that reflects the passions of the Myer family. Elgee Park offers a select range of award-winning wines, made under contract by celebrated winemaker Geraldine McFaul. The vineyard has thrived through the passion of the vigneron, the skills of winemakers and viticulturists, the quality of the fruit and oak, and the care taken in nurturing the vines. Elgee Park vines produce premium grape varieties of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Elgee Park is closed to the general public. However, community groups, through arrangement with Elgee Park, can tour the vineyard and sculpture park.
